This is the same Halloween at a party we had at our house. My sista, Lesley and her twin sister, Lauren are at the top left of the picture, and my sista, Kimi is right below Lesley. Kimi's son, Dylan and my son, Cameron are there too - Dylan in the black and Cameron behind him in the red. They were SOOOO little then!! I am in the black dress in the front. And yes, a Spider Woman dress is probably the only dress you'll ever find me wearing!!
I had a good day at work today and then made a Walmart trip afterwards. It turned out to be a good time to go shopping and it wasn't that crowded. I bought a ton of candy (6 of those big bags) and hope that will be enough this year. People drive their kids to our neighborhood and we get a LOT of trick or treaters! Last year, I ran out of candy and don't want that to happen this year. I've also been taste testing all of the candy tonight, cause it is important to be sure that it all tastes good, right??? I did forget to put the roast I had in the crock pot this morning, so I found some red beans & rice in the freezer and that's what we had for dinner.
JP called tonight and was in a really good mood. He's been drawing a lot and is really into it. He was great with art when he was younger, so I'm glad he's rediscovering some old hobbies. He's also been calling my sister this week, and that is great for me to hear. It only costs her $3 when he calls and it costs me $20, plus he's reaching out to her, which makes me happy.

I always try to go to wal-mart when LSU is playing in town... it is always empty.
Love the Halloween memories! Hope more are in store as the Big Day approaches!
Now those are the pictures I remember from way back when! What kind of candy did you buy? I made a rule of thumb to only buy the kind I myself don't personally care for, but know the kids like. That way I don't eat it all before Halloween arrives.
I'm so glad to hear JP contacted you and your sister. I know it means a lot when you hear his voice. I'm glad he seems so upbeat right now.
Glad you had a good day.
Love the Halloween memories. That's alot of candy. We usually get a lot of kids coming around also.
I love the pictures!!! We always end up with too much candy. That's no good either.
What fun memories!!

HI it is busy around here with tons of festivals and Halloween but I wanted to stalk over to say hello!
those were awesome pics and what a great time!
You look great in a dress! You should totally do it more often.
LOVE THE SPIDERWOMAN! WIsh I could find that costume over here...my kids would DIG me if I wore that! Where'd you get it?
Fun pics. You go all out! We haven't had many trick or treaters in our homes in our 9 years of marriage. Not sure what to expect tomorrow. We'll be at the zoo with Yaya trick or treating so I guess we may miss it.
OMG Cameron & Dylan WERE SOOOO little! I remember that party, it seems like it was LAST Halloween! LOL
I'm glad that you got to talk to JP and that he is talking to Donna too! Why is it so much more to call you? I guess it's because you are out of state?
I hope you didn't spend as much money at Walmart as I did!! And I didn't even buy any Halloween candy!!
