Cameron's girlfriend, Sarah, came over to hang out with him today, so I was good about making myself scarce. I don't allow girls in the bedrooms, so they have to stay downstairs or outside, but I do try to give them some space. It has been a long time since we've dealt with girlfriends in the house, so it takes some getting used to again, but all the old rules were made for very good reasons, so we're sticking with them!! Sarah seems like a sweet girl and they enjoy spending time together, so we'll see what happens from there. I floated in the pool for awhile, then I spent the afternoon playing with the kitties and cleaning up after them, which is a full time job in itself!
Here is a new picture of my niece, Daphne. She is 10 months old and really a cute little baby! I know exactly how my friend, Lesley, feels since her sister doesn't want her posting pictures of her new nephew on the internet! My brother is the same way but has given me temporary permission while Daphne is young, but he will put a stop to it sooner or later! I am hoping to somehow squeeze a visit to Atlanta in around Daphne's birthday in August, but we'll have to see. One of my bestest friends from graduate school, John, lives about 15 minutes from my brother, so hopefully I could visit with him when I'm there too.
I went to Walmart this morning & bought an air mattress for my mom or step-dad to use Tuesday night. The bed in our guest room was my grandmother's and it is a double bed. Walter and I used the bed at the condo we were renting when we were building our house and we affectionately refer to it as "tiny bed." There is no way for 2 adults to fit comfortably in it, so we'll see how the air mattress works as a 2nd place to sleep! I hate to replace the bed because it is an antique and I love it, but it's a real pain having a guest room that nobody can sleep in!!19 days until the cruise and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!! I wish it was time to go now!!! Walter & I will have an ocean view balcony suite and we got Cameron & Sean an interior stateroom to share. Here is a picture of what our suite is supposed to look like.
I have a roast in the crock pot for dinner tonight and the house smells sooooo good!! It's making me hungry!

Ok, you'll definitely be around when I need pointers with Claudia and boys. Yikes, scary feeling! Only a few more years. I asked Caleb today if he planned to date in a few years since he has sisters from his mom AND his dad and he said yes. Brandi and I were saying how we thought he might get sick of girls all the time. Claudia then piped in and said "Chelle, he already has a girlfriend" lol he disputed that statement. He had a girlfriend in school this year, but she was just a little too mature for what Chrissy cared for and knew too much about different things a 12 year old shouldn't yet. Very sweet girl though.
Daphne is absolutely precious! I know you wish they lived closer so you could be around her more.
That's good about one of the kittens. I know they will get good homes quickly. My friend Tammy is the type that if she is giving an animal away like that, you have so many days to really think hard if you want it or you give it back to her immediately. She had that happen one time with a girl who came to get one she had and the girl's mom said no. I guess she didn't get permission first.
Sounds like you had a busy afternoon between playing sarrogate mom to the kitties, chaperone to the kids, and wading in the pool.
We went to get our snow cones, but Brandi and the girls came over and Millie was in rare form is all I can say for her. I think 3 is going to be a nightmare. My mom said Beau's kids are so laid back compared to Brandi's LOL
Have a good night. I'm going to bed in the next little while. This getting up early is for the birds.

WOW!! I hope that your cabin on the cruise really looks like that! You may want to double check your luggage AFTER you board the ship... just to check for stow-aways! (like ME...hehe!)
I can't even think about Lane and/or Ryan having a girlfriend. So far Lane and his friends like to hang out at our house and I am doing all I can to reinforce that! At least if they are here, I will be able to get to know his friends and know what they are up to! LOL

Lesley, I will check my luggage to see if you've snuck in there! Wouldn't that be fun if you did? That is great for Lane's friends to hang out at your house and you are smart to encourage it. Until recently, we've always been the house with the kids, but lately it isn't always that way and I would rather them be here where I know what they are doing!!
