I went to the training at work today and it was well worth my time. It turns out that it is a 2 days training, so I'm going back tomorrow. I signed up knowing it would be before I actually went back to work, but I wasn't worried about being paid or anything like that. I really just wanted to learn the information (writing Behavior Plans and Functional Behavior Assessments) because i'm on teams at my schools and need to know how to help with them, not to mention that I still get a paycheck all summer long even though I don't have to work). My supervisor told me today that I can get comp time for both days! Woohoo! I was excited to hear that, since I've been worried about using my personal days so early in the year. I haven't had fever tonight and put off calling my doctor since I can't go tomorrow anyway. If I have any fever tonight, I will call tomorrow. I also found out that my school assignments wont change much, so i'm glad to hear that. The bad news is that they provided lunch again today (well, I guess that's good, but bad for my diet), and it was sandwiches, chips, and cookies from Subway, so I ate it. I would have had to pull the meat off of 1/2 the sandwiches to get enough lunch for my low-carb diet and I didn't think that would go over too well!
I told Elizabeth to let me know if there is anything she wants for her birthday, or else I'll give her $100 when I see her, so she called today and had thought of something she wants. "Pleasure" perfume by Estee Lauder - maybe like a gift set with lotion too. She said that she'd asked her mom to get her some once, and her mom bought "Treasure" or some other random kind, so I told her i'd be sure to get "Pleasure." I love to buy her things and while I used to pout a little that she wasn't exaclty raised by "professionals" as I was told she would be, it's made me thankful that she isn't some spoiled doctor or attorney's child who might to be rich & busy to bother with me! Anyway, she was well cared for throughout her life, but has never had alot of extra things, so I enjoy making her happy. I went to Estee Lauder's website and they had a gift set with the Pleasure perfume and bath gel for $65, so I found a bottle of lotion for $40, and with free shipping and gift wrapping, it was exactly what I was looking to spend!! I had it shipped to her house and send her a text message to let her know I'd ordered some "Pasture" for her LOL! I sent another message after that and said, "oops, I meant Pleasure!" She's got my goofy sense of humor so she really got a kick out of that. I chuckled for awhile over it.
Well, that's all I've got for tonight. These mornings sure come early!! Have a good night!

I have to say that I am not a cat person - mainly because I am so allergic - but I hate rude people and he was just plain rude! Never walk into someone's house through th back door, and never let your dog in either!
I'm glad you were able to get Elizabeth what she wanted, I'm sure she will appreciate it.
Ooooooh that would have REALLY rattled me too about the dog. When we DID have a dog, we trained it not to lick because that was something that REALLY bothered me too. Itchy was a baby when her health deteriorated and we had her put to sleep. In hindsight, it was good timing because Itchy is highly allergic to dogs now and him bringing a dog into Itchy's safe zone would have had smoke coming out of my ears.
I'm glad you had a great training day and get comp time for it - NICE!
I'm so happy you found the perfect thing and Elizabeth found humor in your comment. Unfortunately, with us working with horses often...I usually have "perfume de pasture" several times a week ;>
Yeah, I'm not really a dog person at all either. Like you, I'm a cat person. The thought of a dog licking me just really freaks me out, lol! That was SO rude of that man to bring his obnoxious dog into YOUR house like that!! You were way more polite than I would have been, I think. It's quite possible that I would have thrown a fit right there on the spot and demanded that the rude man AND his dog leave. We have neighbors who treat their little Chihuahua like a kid, and I find it odd to say the least. Their have been times when the man walks over to visit and carries the dog into our house with him, but he never puts the dog down. Most times, he just leaves the dog outside while he comes in. We have cats too, and they would not be at all happy with a little dog yapping at them and chasing them!!
That's good news about your school assignments not changing much!! And, even better news about you getting comp time for going to training :-)
PLEASURES is an awesome perfume!! It smells soooooooooooo good!! I actually have some and wear it almost every day!! Good choice Elizabeth! The "pasture" joke was just plain ole hilarious! I'm sure she cracked up about it!
Hope your mysterious fever is gone for good sista!! I hate having fever, espeically an unexplained one. A couple of times the kids' have had fever and their doctor checks them out really good, then says that it is a "fever virus." Huh??????????????? What the heck is that???? It always made me frustrated!!
Have a fun day at training today!! Talk to ya soon...
That is so ridiculous! Did Walter say anything to him? I would have had a meltdown if someone had done that to me or Pookie. I don't want someone's strange animal in my house. I like dogs, but only dogs that I know. It seems like everyone walking on the street around here has a dog, but they are all so well behaved. I hope that your fever stays away! I miss you!
OMG....no dogs here please! I have four cats that are even scared of the outside..LOL HMMM is it the same guy with the trash????????
HOPE you are getting ready to come on over to GA! I wish I lived near LL!
Yikes sista! I would have freaked out on that inconsiderate neighbor too! I didn't used to like dogs at all either until we got our little dog 3 years ago. I only like him though! LOL I feel bad sometimes because I don't pay much attention to our big dog. He is just so hyper! I wonder if your neighbor wondered why you left? Sounds like he is clueless!
That is SO funny what you told Elizabeth about the perfume! That was so sweet of you to get her such a nice gift!
