Dawn's Place: Important happenings and just plain fun times!

So, I wanted to show some pictures of things that have been going on or just fun times we've had since I stopped posting. Walter finished building a fence in the back of the house that hides the propane tank, generator, garbage cans, etc., so this is a current view of the back of the house.

For those of you unfamiliar...a crawfish boil thrown by a company. They boiled over 5,000 lbs. that day!

This is Daphne, my brother's daughter. She is going to be 3 in August and is really precious. They will be here visiting next week from Atlanta.

This is my brother-in-law, Kevin, and my "nephew," Tyrone. My sister and her husband took Ty in when he was 13 or 14 and he's 27 now. He's recently won 4 out of 4 professional boxing matches in Houston! He's gonna be famous, y'all!

During another trip to Houston, I reunited with a friend from elementary school, Sarah!

I know this is hard for some people to talk about, but it's my reality. I have no problem with it, so talk or ask all you want. This is the prison in Huntsville where JP is currently incarcerated.

A classmate of my sisters at the University of Houston. He's from India and doesn't get out a whole lot....we sure entertained him!!! He told my sister, "I try to be good at school, but I didn't know you have friends like these!!"
